Rough uneven texture, UV damage, age spots, moderate wrinkles, lines, crow's feet, crepey skin (wrinkling), and blotchiness can be dramatically improved and skin renewed with a MicroLaserPeel®. Advances in laser science make it possible to perform "surface-repair" on delicate areas such as the face, neck, and décolletage (chest). A MicroLaserPeel® is a perfect solution for individuals looking for dramatic and lasting results. A MicroLaserPeel® removes the surface layers of the skin, revealing a new, fresher, healthier layer of skin.

What to expect
A Visia™ Skin Analysis and consultation with a Skin Specialist can determine if a MicroLaserPeel® treatment is right for you.
Depending on individual goals and the condition of your skin, a pre-treatment plan may be needed to prepare skin for a MicroLaserPeel®.
Before your procedure, a topical anesthetic will be applied to promote a more comfortable experience.
An ablative laser removes the outer layers of skin, allowing new, fresher, healthier skin to be revealed.
Meticulous pre and post care instruction will be reviewed.
A series of three treatments is typically necessary to achieve the optimal result.
Minimal downtime—typically 3-4 days depending upon the depth of the laser treatment.
Minor redness may be exhibited for up to 30 days.
Results are lasting.
Treatments may be repeated annually, but most individuals undergo only once or twice in a lifetime.
Things to consider
As with any ablative laser procedure there is the potential for serious side effects and infection.
Common symptoms immediately following the procedure can resemble an extreme sunburn with excess warmth and peeling. These symptoms typically last anywhere from 3-7 days, depending upon the depth of the peel and your individual response.
Darkening of pigment areas, redness, moderate flaking, swelling and irritation are typical symptoms that can be managed with a cold compress, pain reliever or anti-inflammatory.
Hyper or hypo-pigmentation is rare but possible, particularly in individuals with darker skin tones.
Sun block is a must for increased sun sensitivity.
What you need to know
What is the difference between a MicrolaserPeel® and other treatments such as an BBL™ Photo Rejuvenation procedure?
BBL™ Photo Rejuvenation leaves the upper layers of the skin intact and corrects a variety of conditions such as: irregular pigmentation, UV damage, age spots, freckling, unwanted facial veins and general redness. Although highly effective and extremely popular, BBL™ procedures are not designed to repair lines and wrinkles, stimulate long-term collagen production, reduce pore size, enhance skin's elasticity or improve acne scarring. BBL™ Photo Rejuvenation procedures come with minimal or no downtime and minimal risks. BBL™ Photo Rejuvenation treatments are outstanding "lunchtime" procedures that yield excellent results. Three to five procedures are typically necessary for the optimal result. Skin is rejuvenated and appears younger.
A MicroLaserPeel® with lip refinishing offers "surface-repair" allowing for new, healthy skin to be revealed. A MicroLaserPeel® removes the outer layers of the skin, promoting a healing response which produces a refreshed look and feel. A MicroLaserPeel®requires the use of an occlusive agent to replace the loss of the barrier function in the skin. Most people prefer not to attend work functions while wearing the occlusive agent. Significant results can be seen after the first procedure.
A BBL™ procedure primarily targets discoloration in the skin caused by photo-damage and is noninvasive in nature. A MicroLaserPeel® primarily targets fine lines and textural irregularities but is a more aggressive procedure.
PROFractional™ vs MicroLaserPeel®
Whether you're looking to prevent or reduce the signs of aging, laser skin resurfacing has never been more popular or effective. But the world of cosmetic lasers and "magic wands" can be a confusing maze of marketing hype and buzz words promising amazing results, including the recent introduction of fractional skin resurfacing or the PROFractional™ laser.
Fractional skin resurfacing is a new and emerging technology working on bridging the gap between non-ablative and ablative (wound healing) laser treatments. The latest "it" treatment is the PROFractional™ . A PROFractional™ procedure is designed to treat 20% or a fraction of the skin's surface with any single treatment. Typically a series of 4-5 PROFractional™ treatments are necessary to achieve a similar result from one MicrolaserPeel®. The theory is that by only treating a fraction of the skin's surface each time, over a series of treatments similar results to a Microlaser Peel can be achieved and downtime minimized. The MicroLaserPeel® or Er:YAG laser resurfacing has a 10+ year track record as the "Gold Standard" in skin resurfacing because it delivers safe, effective and meaningful results by treating 100% of the skin's surface in just one treatment with minimal downtime.
As with any emerging technology time and patient feedback will determine the success and effectiveness of fractional skin resurfacing or PROFractional™ laser treatments - you decide.
